Synopsis:
Ziyarat (The pilgrimage) is inspired by the internal displacement and mass migration of a complete community of Kashmiri Pandits (Hindus) from their mother land Kashmir, also known as the Paradise on earth. In general the administration and the rest of the communities shift the blame of this exodus of Kashmiri Pandits on to the local populace of Muslims in Kashmir as an excuse for disowning the responsibility which is not true at all. There is a tremendous passion and bonding between most of the people of various religions in Kashmir, the face of which remains unknown to the rest of the world.
Ziyarat is one such story of a young Muslim and his wife taking the responsibility of locating his lost Kashmiri Pandit friend and his wife who fled Kashmir to save their lives after the terrorists killed his parents. The journey of hi shunt for his friend takes him through a grueling labyrinth of incidents and encounters with the bitter reality and he takes it as the pilgrimage. "Ziyarat" of his life........ a journey beyond boundaries...... indeed.
