In Rayalaseema, the followers of the revered factionist Chennakesava Reddy await his return after 22 years, while the demonic Dhanunjaya Reddy controls the region. In Mumbai, Chennakesava Reddy's son, Bharath, is a fearless police officer who falls for medical student Preethi.
A sincere police officer, Ramaraju, is transferred to Tihar Jail by corrupt politicians. There, he discovers Chennakesava Reddy has been imprisoned for 22 years under false charges. Ramaraju secures his release, and Chennakesava Reddy returns home to a massive welcome. He immediately begins eliminating his enemies.
In a flashback, it is revealed that Venkat Reddy orchestrated a massacre against Chennakesava Reddy's family. While Chennakesava Reddy killed Venkat Reddy and saved his wife Devi and son Bharath, he was framed and jailed.
Realizing the threat, Dhanunjaya Reddy posts Bharath in Rayalaseema to arrest his father. Despite understanding his father's virtue, Bharath does his duty. After a final confrontation where Dhanunjaya Reddy is killed, Chennakesava Reddy surrenders, ordering Bharath to continue his legacy.
