Synopsis:
Nanak Dukhiya Sub Sansar is a story of the separation of one family caused by the muslim/hindu time of separation over land. Many sikhs had to leave their homes and while doing so, families were torn apart and killed by the muslims. This is a story of ram and kartar, who were separated by this particular situation, but grew up together not knowing they are real blood. Years pass, as they both often mention and reminisce of their mother and a brother they both have lost. Ram (the younger brother) is off in the city getting educated and there meets an old lady . Kartar, back home is the backbone of his entire pind. He falls in love with a beautiful girl named jita, who has just arrived back home from the city. Problem arises when ram returns home and he, too falls deeply in love with jita. He asks kartar to ask for jita's hand in marriage, unaware of his older brother's feelings and kartar being the older wise happily chooses to give up his love, only jita disagress. Upon hearing this and being heavily influenced by the village evil peter, Ram and kartar now want each other dead. They both open fire as out of nowhere, steps in the old lady ram met in the city.
