The story revolves around the Shanthi and Gopinath who are deeply in love, but when Gopinath's mother pressures him to marry his wealthy boss's daughter Vadivukarasi, he agrees the marraige. But Shanti is pregnant and she leaves town, gives birth to a boy named Bharath and he rises as a strong, proud young man. Shanti dies from an illness and Bharath vows to get revenge on the man who made his mother suffer. Now Gopinath is a legend in the business world. He has achieved fame, money and success. Bharath meets Gopinath and challenges him in many ways. Bharath starts his own construction company and name it as Shanti Construction. Bharath poaches Uma a hard-working secretary, from Gopinath firm and after that he is even stealing their potential contracts and clients. In a short time, Bharath becomes the biggest business rival of Gopinath making him bankrupt. Meanwhile Bharath also help his step sibling Ashok . Gopinath made a plan to kill Bharath but in the end Bharath tells about his mother and why he has done all these things. At last Gopinath feels guilty and finally he saves Bharath and accepts him as his son.
