Neglected by his workaholic billionaire father Amarnath, Vicky Kapoor turns to alcohol and is raised with genuine affection by caretaker Munshi Phoolchand. Despite his addiction, Vicky is generous: he secretly funds orphan Anwar's education and assists impoverished locals. As adults, Anwar becomes a police inspector, while Vicky falls in love with Meena, a poor dancer. Greedy foes Natwar and Govardhandas conspire to tear the couple apart, causing Amarnath to disown Vicky. When Munshi dies in an accident, a devastated Vicky quits drinking. Meanwhile, Govardhandas plots to murder Amarnath for his wealth. Vicky, backed by Inspector Anwar and the grateful townsfolk he once helped, thwarts the scheme, rescues his father, and saves Meena. Reconciled with Vicky and welcoming Meena into the family, Amarnath repents his past neglect.
