In Pulicherla, corrupt MLA Goud brutally murders a journalist who exposes him. Seeking vengeance, the journalist's son, Murari, plans to assassinate Goud but is publicly killed by Jagapati, an immoral cop loyal to Goud. Murari's mother and sister are left devastated.
Soon, Lavanya arrives in town and bonds with Murari's family. Jagapati falls for her, but is shocked to discover she is Murari's widow. Lavanya reveals she feigned interest to make Jagapati feel the pain of losing a loved one. She explains that Murari secretly married her to save her from her abusive uncle, C.I. Manipal.
Filled with remorse, Jagapati transforms. He opposes Goud, files a murder case against himself for killing Murari, and marries Murari's sister to Goud's son. Seeing his redemption, Lavanya genuinely loves him, and Murari's mother accepts him as a son. After defeating Goud and Manipal to protect Lavanya, Jagapati surrenders to the court. He receives a short sentence, and Lavanya promises to wait for him.
