In the 1990s, Ravi, Murali, Rajeswari, Satish, Razia, and Baddu were a close group of college friends. At their 10-year reunion, everyone attends except Murali, who died during their final semester.
Back in college, Ravi and Satish were rival student leaders. Satish, wanting to marry Rajeswari for political gain, manipulated the college elections to separate her and Ravi. During these events, Murali died suddenly, seemingly from an asthma attack. Misunderstandings led Ravi to drop out, clear his exams secretly, and become a successful IAS officer.
At the reunion, someone attempts to strangle Ravi. It is revealed that Razia, Murali's secret lover, sought revenge after overhearing that Ravi accidentally caused Murali's death. Surviving the attack, Ravi and Razia reconcile. Satish apologizes for his past manipulations, and Ravi forgives Rajeswari, deciding to marry her after 15 years. The reunited group parts happily, with Ravi seeing Murali's spirit waving goodbye.
