After murdering mill owner Mohandas, corrupt manager Rajan tricks grieving heiress Sunita into marriage to steal her fortune. When cabaret dancer Monica exposes Rajan's deadly plot, Sunita flees an engineered car crash and is presumed dead. Disguised as village girl Soni, she hides among a troupe of nomadic Banjara performers led by Mohan. While traveling, Sunita and Mohan fall in love, sparking jealousy from dancer Nisha. Rajan ruthlessly tracks Sunita down, eliminates her father's ally Karamchand, and captures the troupe. In a climactic showdown, Mohan fights Rajan to save Sunita, while Nisha courageously shields them by taking a fatal bullet before the police shoot Rajan. Sunita ultimately chooses to spend her life wandering with Mohan's caravan.
