Professor V.C. Selvam arrives at Sakthivel Arts College as the new vice principal, tasked with restoring order to the restless campus. He immediately clashes with Ramesh, a wealthy, spoiled bully who controls the student body. Through modern teaching methods and campus improvements, Selvam wins over the students and Vasanthi, a fellow professor who initially opposed his methods.

Furious at losing control, Ramesh frames Selvam, instigating a strike. Though Selvam apologizes to maintain peace, Ramesh's destructive actions unite the students behind Selvam to win a cultural competition. When Vasanthi discovers Selvam is secretly battling terminal blood cancer, she resolves to marry him. Ramesh escalates his vendetta by framing a student, leading to her suicide, which sparks a violent retaliation from the student body. Selvam bravely rescues Ramesh from the mob, begging the students to forgive him. The remorseful Ramesh repents, while Selvam and Vasanthi leave for the U.S., hoping to cure his cancer and see a reformed college upon their return.
