Synopsis:
The village zamindar's second wife has to bewitched him that he is crazy after her and has no time for the poor villagers. The zamindar's brother-in-law, mangal takes advantage of this and lets lose a reign to terrot in the village. Omma, the zamindar's son, returns to the village after completing his studies and learns about his father's second marriage and the plight of the villagers. When he tries to seeke redress for the villagers from his father he is not heard while he is looked upon with suspicion by the villagers. One day, dharma, a farmer is killed by mangal's men. Omma is accused of complicity in the crime by the villagers. When he goes to expose mangal's crime, he himself is turned out of the house by his father. On the way he is attacked by mangal's man but is saved by 'Jat Punjabi'. Jat Punjabi inspires omma to go back to the village and help the poor fight against the rich even at the cost of clashing with his own father. Omma goes to the village in disquise. He promises to get back dharma's fields for his son pappu had been confiscated by mangal. How does omma succeed in awakening the villagers? How are mangal and his sister exposed?
