Bumboo movie is based on one simple idea. Every person meets someone, who screws it up and makes life miserable (In the 'Bambaiyya' lingo it is called as 'Vaat Lagna'). In Bumboo the movie each character screws someone or the others happiness. Each situation is humorous and ends up into comedy of errors.
The director Jagdish Rajpurohit revealed that “Bamboo” is an adaptation of “L’Emmerdeur”, a film by Francis Veber. Mandy Takhar, the film’s actress, had to lose 15 kilos for her role. Writer-director Francis Veber, one of the most famous names in French cinema, was surprised when the Indian filmmakers approached him to obtain the rights to make an Indian version of his film “L’Emmerdeur”. It was a first for the veteran, as his films had often been plagiarized. His “Le Dîner de cons” had been adapted as “Bheja Fry”...
