A new kind of virus originating from South Africa is micro-ravaging the planet. As the body count rises across the globe, the scientific community desperately searches for a vaccine. Behind this epidemic lies Dr. Kaal, a renegade scientist flanked by an army of mutant creatures born from his experiments. As chaos spreads, all hope seems lost. But they haven't counted on the Defender, a dark and solitary masked hero who haunts the heights of the megacities. His powers are immense: he flies at supersonic speeds, leaps from building to building, and can lift skyscrapers. But will all of this be enough to stem the deadly threat hanging over humanity?
