Former professor Dr. Elango and his student Sathyamoorthy secretly orchestrate a series of political assassinations during an upcoming state election. While Elango's daughter Charulatha falls for Sathya, the police eventually trace the murders back to the duo. Their violent crusade is revealed to be revenge for a horrific tragedy three years prior. After Elango and Sathya conducted an opinion poll predicting a ruling party candidate's defeat, the enraged politician retaliated by trapping and burning alive Sathya's father and 30 students in a college canteen. Determined to cleanse society of ruthless politicians, the two men take justice into their own hands. After Elango is arrested, Sathya evades the police to make one final assassination attempt on the corrupt Home Minister in Madurai.
