Anbuselvan, a ruthless Assistant Commissioner of Police in Chennai, leads a specialized, lethal anti-gang unit with his friends Shrikanth, Arul, and Ilamaran. Consumed by his violent duties, Anbuselvan’s life changes when he meets Maya, a schoolteacher. Despite his reluctance, they fall deeply in love and get married.

Meanwhile, a ruthless gangster named Pandiya seeks revenge after the unit kills his brother, Agaram Sethu. Pandiya systematically targets the officers' families, murdering Ilamaran and kidnapping Maya. During the pursuit, Shrikanth tragically confesses to betraying Anbuselvan's location to save his own kidnapped wife, Swathi, only for Pandiya to send Swathi's severed head and Maya's flesh in response. A guilt-ridden Shrikanth commits suicide. Enraged, Anbuselvan and Arul track down Pandiya. In the final confrontation, Pandiya uses Maya as a human shield, fatally shooting her. Anbuselvan kills Pandiya, avenging his friends and his beloved wife, before sorrowfully returning to his duty.
