Jeeva, a middle-class young man from Chennai, falls in love with Priya. His father Pragasam, a taxi driver, witnesses a girl being kidnapped by five men. After helping the police identify the culprits, Pragasam is murdered by the gang during an outing with Jeeva. Devastated, Jeeva feigns giving up the investigation to protect his family but secretly decides to seek revenge.

With the help of his gangster friend Nadesan, he hunts down the murderers. He first captures their accomplice Pey Babu, then eliminates one gang member on a railway track. The four survivors trap and kill Nadesan and his men on a beach. Arriving too late to save his friend, Jeeva engages in a brutal fight against the gang, fatally wounds them, and buries them alive in a pit before leaving.
