Bombay in the 1970s: Manya Surve is trying to make something of himself by pursuing his studies. Involved in the death of a thug who was attacking his brother, he is sentenced to prison after being beaten up by the police. Manya swears he will take revenge. He manages to escape and launches a personal war against the city’s police. Having become a formidable gangster, he becomes the target of the ruthless Inspector Bagwan. The latter, who is not troubled by scruples, uses violence and intimidation to achieve his aims. He decides to catch Manya dead or alive – preferably dead.
