Vikram, a wealthy Rajasthani industrialist, hires Jia from an escort service to act as his secretary during a business trip in Mumbai and impulsively proposes to her the same day. Jia moves into his mansion, dominated by memories of Vikram's late wife Anamika, where the caretaker Malini constantly invokes Anamika’s presence, making Jia feel trapped and insecure. As Vikram and Jia struggle to build their marriage, a series of events leads them to Anamika’s buried body, and Vikram is arrested for her suspected murder. It emerges that Malini, secretly in love with Vikram, had manipulated him by falsely portraying Anamika as unfaithful with her cousin Sanjay, seducing Sanjay and framing Anamika as immoral. In reality, Malini killed Anamika during a desert storm by inflicting a fatal head injury, then staged her disappearance. Malini later attacks Jia and tries to kill her in a fire, but Vikram arrives in time to save her. In the climax, Malini dies in the blaze, and Vikram and Jia finally gain peace and freedom from the past.
