Vaidehi, pregnant and trapped in a toxic marriage with her immoral NRI husband Raghu, escapes from the U.S. to India to save herself and her unborn child. On the run from Raghu, who only wants the baby, she encounters different women whose lives are scarred by patriarchy: Maithili, humiliated by dowry demands; Janki, a bold theatre actress exploited by a predatory director; and Ramdulaari, a village midwife oppressed by brutal landlords and fearing for her son's forbidden love. Along the way, Vaidehi also meets empathetic men, including a kind thief and the bandit Bulwa, who reveres women and opposes the village tyrants. As each woman's suffering reaches a breaking point, their stories erupt into acts of resistance, showing that oppression has limits and that women will ultimately fight back for their dignity and rights.
