Ravi, a confident but unemployed young graduate, is hired by the wealthy hotelier Viswanatham to accompany him on a trip to Switzerland. Anjali, the neglected daughter of a wealthy businessman, is also staying at their hotel for her holidays.
Despite very few interactions, a mutual attraction develops between them. One evening, destiny brings them together alone in a cable car that breaks down for several hours. Isolated and swept away by desire, they give in to temptation.
However, they lose all contact right after this incident. Back in India, Viswanatham's sudden death complicates the situation. The rest of the film follows the desperate quest of Ravi and Anjali, who do everything possible to search for each other, leading up to their grand final reunion.
