Wrongly accused of murder and hospitalized, Captain Sundarapandian (Vijaykanth) wishes to honor a deceased colleague by aiding his sister. Escaped and on the run, he discovers that the sister, Ponni (Nirosha), is secretly in love with Ashok (Ramki) against her family's wishes. The Captain suddenly finds himself in an all-out battle in the name of love, but regrettably, his health is fading and he may not have the strength to last.
