Synopsis:
Shankar Thakur (Vikram Gokhale) and Osman (Alok Nath) are close friends. While Thakur lives in Mumbai with his wife and three sons, the youngest of the three being Arjun (Dino Morea), Osman lives in Lucknow with his two daughters. Khusboo (Bipasha Basu) is the younger of the two. Arjun and Khushboo meet and fall in love (at first sight) during Khusbhoo's sister's wedding in Lucknow. This Hindu-Muslim love story does not seem like a prospective troublemaker between the families as the two families seem like one big happy family. But Arjun decides to sacrifice his love for Khushboo for fear of creating a rift between Thakur and Osman. This seems very strange for a young hot-blooded 21st century male.Their respective fathers make up for the lack of melodrama between the lovers. In true 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' style, Thakur collapses owing to kidney failure just when the family is about to return to Mumbai after the marriage. The friendship between the two is strengthened when Osman donates his kidney to save Thakur from premature death. Besides this sequence, the film seems to rely heavily on many more scenes from 'HAHK'.
