After hairstylist Vamsi (Uday Kiran) rescues Nandini (Neha Julka) from local thugs, she falls deeply in love with him and wins him over. Vamsi then travels to Rayalaseema to seek the blessing of her brother, Bhupati Rayudu (Srihari), a good-hearted factionist. Though initially difficult, Vamsi earns Bhupati's trust by saving his life from a rival leader, Vengal Reddy (Jayaprakash Reddy). However, when Bhupati tries to arrange the marriage with Vamsi's family, Vamsi’s father—an uncompromising judicial officer named Padmanabham (Sayaji Shinde)—refuses the alliance.
