On Holi Samar and Suhagi the young hearts forgot themselves in the frivolity and passion of the day and committed a blunder which ultimately created the question of life and death for Suhagi who became pregnant .When Samar refused to take responsibility for Suhagi's situation. Mangal Singh Suhagi's father found out and an argument ensued which turned into duel of blows between Mangal and Samar, where Samar was killed. Mangal Singh was arrested. His wife Jamana panicked upon hearing this news. She picked up her young son "Munna" and ran. Jamuna met with an accident and died . Suhagi who had nothing in life tried to jump in the river but saved by a man called Anokhelal he took her with him consoling her that she could take care of her little brother (Munna).They adopted him and gave him a new name Prakash.
