The storyline traces its roots back to the Treta Yuga, when two devotees named Bhadra and Ratnakara performed intense penance. Pleased with their devotion, Lord Vishnu promises to eventually settle on their respective mountains. To fulfill this vow, the supreme trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva merge to incarnate as Lord Satyadeva on the Ratnagiri hills, while the goddesses Lakshmi, Parvati, and Saraswati unite to become his consort, Satyavati.
Centuries later, King Inuganti Venkata Rama Raja Bahaddur, a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, engages in a religious debate with a Vaishnavite priest over the supremacy of their respective deities. Both men experience divine dreams revealing that Shiva and Vishnu are fundamentally the same entity. Guided by these visions and local deities, the king discovers the hidden idol of Lord Satyadeva and constructs the famous temple at Annavaram. The film concludes with Lord Rama and Sita traveling from Bhadradri to perform the very first Satyanarayana Vratam under the guidance of Sage Narada, illustrating how the ritual cleanses humanity of worldly evils like anger, lust, and greed.
