Synopsis:
A boy from a small village, with stars in his eyes and an overwhelming passion for cinema is determined to make it big in Bollywood. The odds are stacked against him, with his obvious handicap, but when you dream big and refuse to give up, the world has no option but to sit up and take notice. This is a story that celebrates teamwork, friendship and big dreams. "Shamitabh" is a film about the birth of a big star and the smoke screen that was created to fulfil a dream. Sourd-muet depuis l’enfance, Danush rêve quand même à une carrière d’acteur de cinéma. À Mumbai, il rencontre Amitabh, un comédien expérimenté qui le prend sous son aile. Le vieil homme lui prête sa voix et son ouïe, ce qui le propulse au rang de vedette de Bollywood, sous le pseudonyme de Shamitabh. Est-ce que cette symbiose inusitée peut durer longtemps?
