The film is set on the India- Pakistan border where both sides represent their respective countries and keep an eye on each other but also come together to play games like antakshari and indulging in friendly banter.
The Indian side is lead by Rajveer Rana (Sharman Joshi) while the Pakistan captain is Qureshi (Javeed Jafferey), both these captains are very friendly with each other. War is about to break between the countries so the defence minister (Dalip Tahil) decides to go to the border before war breaks out for publicity and takes television reporter Rut Dutta (Soha Ali Khan) with him.
The channel is there for high TRP ratings and what would be better than coverage before war breaks out but when Rut Dutta reaches the border she surprised to see how friendly the soldiers of both sides are with each other.
But then war does break out earlier than planned and Rut Dutta who likes Rajveer Rana pleads with him to do something to stop the war but will Qureshi also understand?
