Selvam, an educated man working as a rickshaw puller, clashes with a ruthless human trafficker, Kailasam, and a corrupt judge, Dharmaraj. When Kailasam targets college student Uma for his overseas trafficking ring, Selvam valiantly protects her, sparking a romance between the two. As Selvam seeks justice, shocking family secrets are revealed: Uma is actually the daughter of Selvam's late sister, who was tragically poisoned by Dharmaraj under Kailasam's manipulation. Consumed by guilt, Dharmaraj attempts to confess his past crimes but is assassinated by Kailasam's mistress, Rosy, who is disguised as Uma. In a brilliant counter-operation, Selvam collaborates with the police to infiltrate the trafficking syndicate. He cleverly tricks Kailasam into accidentally shooting Rosy, leading to the crime lord's arrest. With justice finally served, Selvam and Uma unite.
