Despite being separated in childhood by a scheming uncle, orphan Kishan (Amitabh Bachchan) and wealthy heir Bishan (Amjad Khan) share an unbreakable bond. Years later, Bishan secretly mortgages his remaining assets to launch Kishan's singing career. With the help of Komal (Neetu Singh), Kishan becomes a massive star and loyally uses his new wealth to pay off his friend's debts. However, Bishan's treacherous uncle and cousin strike back by framing Bishan for their crimes and torturing him until he suffers amnesia and is committed to an asylum. Faking mental illness, Kishan infiltrates the hospital and miraculously restores his best friend's memory using their childhood routines. Together, the loyal friends escape, launch an explosive counterattack against the villains, and restore justice to their united families.
