Superintendent of Police Santhosh hides his former life as a petty thief from his wife, Gokila, who strictly despises liars. When she discovers his secret, a heartbroken Gokila abandons Santhosh and their young son, Ashok, to file for divorce. Though the court rules in Santhosh's favor, guilt drives him to resign from the police force, grant the divorce, and relocate to a tea estate to raise Ashok alone. Years pass, and Ashok grows up to become a famous tennis champion under the name Amarnath, harboring deep resentment toward the mother who left him. Meanwhile, Gokila realizes her mistake and desperately searches for her family.
