Synopsis:
Guru-Dev is a soul stirring tale of friendship. It is a story of two friends Guru (Anil Kapoor) and Dev (Rishi Kapoor), the son of a tycoon's driver. Inspite of the fact they are an odd couple, they are the greatest friends. This relationship makes Guru finding a mother in Dev's mother. Dev finding a father in Guru's father. In course of time, both fall in love, by coincident, with a pair of twin sisters (Sridevi). Lots of comedy emerges from this look-alike situation. Dev, passing his I.P.S., becomes an honest police officer. Life is pleasant with a good job, good friend and a good sweetheart. But life can not be all placid. Dev finds, his father, who was supposed to be dead long ago, in fact languishing in jail. Dev meets him, father reveals bitter past. Dev finds out Guru's father is not a benevolent person, but an underworld Don. Its he who framed Dev's father and put him behind bars. Even his police job is to exploit him for Don's selfish end. Dev's conscience awaken. Drama moves into a collision course. What will be the result now? Will the friendship survive against all odds.
