Synopsis:
Although Dilip is in love with Mala, he can't marry her because her father disapproves of his lowly social status. That's a barrier Dilip hopes to break by becoming India's most popular singer. Unfortunately, just as he achieves his goal, he learns that Mala has gotten married to someone else. But Dilip won't let that stop him from seeing her anyway, a decision that sets in motion a terrible course of events.
